2009
Unicorn completed the division of activities into three product areas: Unicorn Systems, Unicorn Universe and Unicorn College. The company moved into a new Executive Briefing Centre in Classic 7. Unicorn Systems acquired new significant orders abroad, it succeeded in achieving a turnover of EUR 46,3 milions and thus maintained its leading position on the market.
2008
Unicorn Universe service is launched onto the market. It provides a complex information system for business on the basis of SaaS (Software as a Service). Unicorn establishes a management system which supports protection of the environment and simultaneously meets legislative requirements for the environment according to ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005 certification.
2007
The company turnover is 20% higher in comparison with previous year, it reaches CZK 1.205 billion. Unicorn markedly strengthens its foreign activities. In October, 2007 a newly founded private college of information technologies, Unicorn College, opens its first semester.
2006
The holding splits into three groups: Unicorn a.s., Vigour a.s., and VIG Plus a.s. Each one will focus on its area of activities: Unicorn focuses on providing ICT services with high value added, Vigour on recruitment, training, and further education of ICT specialists, and VIG Plus on providing benefits to employees from all three groups.
2005
Unicorn extends its operations both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It opens development centres in Plzeň and Brno, as well as a new branch in Great Britain. The company also becomes a co-founder of European Software Association.
2004
The turnover continues to grow, the authorised capital of the company increases to CZK 100 million. All companies of the holding move to a single representative building, Danube House.
2003
Unicorn achieves turnover of CZK 562 million, which is almost triple the turnover of 2000 (174% growth).
2002
Unicorn holding is transformed into Unicorn a.s. At the same time its authorised capital increases to CZK 87 million.
2001
Unicorn opens a new development centre in Hradec Králové.
2000
Unicorn is certified according to ISO 9001:2000. In the same year it expands abroad and establishes new subsidiaries in Croatia and Slovakia.
1998
Unicorn’s business units separate into independent subsidiaries of Unicorn Group.
1997
The Company invests capital to empower its information systems and technology activities. The joint stock company Unicorn is founded.
1996
Unicorn services portfolio is extended, which is closely related to software development - consulting services, technologies distribution, training and maintenance services.
1995
Unicorn expands and its structure becomes more complex. It creates Unicorn Group. After a while Unicorn becomes the main core of Unicorn Group. Its creation is associated with the establishment of a new employee system, provided by our service company Vigour, as an umbrella organisation.
1992
Unicorn achieves turnover of $1 million.
1990
Unicorn Company is founded by Vladimír Kovář.
